There can be slight discrepancies between the Credit Card Fee on the Settlement page and the atVenu Register Report.
The Settlement applies the Credit Card Rate to the total, cumulative Credit Card Receipt amount, whereas, the Register Report applies the atVenu rate to each individual transaction which can result in differences of pennies due to rounding. The Register Report is the accurate representation of your true CC fees. The Settlement is a basic calculation of the total collected multiplied by the rate.
For example, lets say you processed a total of $1,000.00 in Credit Cards that included 100 separate transactions of different amounts.
- The Settlement will apply the Credit Card Rate to the total $1,000.00 at once
- For the Register Report, the rate is applied to each of the 100 transactions individually
Additionally, if you edit the the Credit Card Fee % on the Settlement page, you will see a different CC Fee than you see on the Register Report which calculates using the actual atVenu CC Fee.
